The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012)

 124 min  -  Comedy | Drama  -  25 May 2012 (USA)

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a 2012 British comedy-drama film, directed by John Madden. The screenplay, written by Ol Parker, was based on the 2004 novel These Foolish Things, by Deborah Moggach, and features an ensemble cast consisting of Judi Dench, Celia ImrieBill NighyRonald PickupMaggie SmithTom Wilkinson and Penelope Wilton, as a group of British pensioners moving to a retirement hotel in India, run by the young and eager Sonny, played by Dev Patel. When the group finally arrives at the picturesque hotel, despite its energetic young manager Sonny (Patel), the hotel is very dilapidated. They each react in a different way. Most of the film was made in India, in Jaipur and Udaipur in a former palace for a tribal chieftain. The film became a surprise box-office hit following its international release. This is rated PG-13 for some sexual content & language.

Jun is cooking a chicken stew (with curry spices to add if you want to be authentic), salad, rolls. $5 suggested donation for the dinner, movie is free.
